We decided to take a stroll to Iverson’s pit and do some EVP’s and use our thermal camera attachment. We got a great hit with the thermal.  We captured what looks like a figure moving back and forth at a rapid pace. This figure was in motion for quite a while (at least 20 minutes) and switched to several different settings on the thermal camera (color, black & white, etc.). It showed up on all of them, but the black & white was the best so that is what we uploaded. In order to try and debunk this, we walked out to the middle of the pit (which is a huge open space) and checked for any animals of which there were none. We also walked around to other angles of it and the figure could still be seen on the thermal from all 4 sides of the pit.

While doing EVP’s in the pit, we did capture this voice (we were the only 2 people on this portion of the battlefield at this time) It is pretty clear, although what we think it says doesn’t seem to make sense and we had not asked any questions prior so it wasn’t a direct response to anything.

We made another trip to Gettysburg to do some private investigations of the children’s orphanage and the Jennie Wade house. Before our investigations, we checked into our hotel on the outskirts of town and immediately heard what sounded like cannon fire and riffles going off. It lasted for a good 15 minutes or so. We thought at first that maybe it was something on the freeway that was causing noises to mimic those sounds, but realized we weren’t that close a freeway. We also thought maybe there were some reenactments going on, but we checked online and didn’t see anything. We can’t say for sure that it was phantom cannon fire and rifles, but it was strange, and we never heard it again around the hotel. Also, early in the morning we headed out to the battlefield to some EVPing around Culp’s Hill. As soon as we got out of the car (before we even had the recorders going) we heard 1 canon fire…again, we can’t say for sure it was a phantom noise, but phantom cannon fire and rifles are a frequently documented occurrence on the battlefield.
