WHO IS
JAMIE
I have been interested in the paranormal since I was a young child. The fascination started in 1988 when I watched an episode of Unsolved Mysteries that featured the Queen Mary. An eyewitness encounter recalled that she saw in the ship’s pool splashing and heard kids laughing and then saw kid’s wet footprints on the cement. That scene has stayed with me my whole life! I had my prom at the Queen Mary, I have stayed onboard the ship, but the pool area is not open to the public, so I have yet been able to investigate the spot where this journey started for me. I have always been drawn to cemeteries: whenever we go to a new place, I always find a local cemetery to visit. Since I was born and raised in California, I have visited many well-known “haunted” locations: Alcatraz, Winchester Mystery house, Whaley house, and so many cemeteries from San Diego up to San Francisco. One particular cemetery that I was ALWAYS drawn to, and have visited too many times to count, was Hollywood Forever cemetery in Hollywood, CA. I visited that cemetery for over 15 years before I discovered my connection to it. In 2015, I decided to research my ancestry and build my family tree. In doing that research I discovered that my paternal great-grandmother and great aunt are buried in that cemetery! It was a real “ah-ha” moment in my life, and I realized just how connected I am to the other side. I have always had some empathic and psychic abilities; it runs in my family, and I am working on growing those abilities to help further my path into the spirit world.

When my husband, Karl, and I met, the biggest thing that drew us to each other was our shared passion for the paranormal. It bonded us instantly and we knew right from the start that we were meant to be together and walk this path of furthering our knowledge of the paranormal together. We have been able to build each other up and enhance each other’s natural abilities throughout the years. I had the wonderful opportunity to be part of the paranormal team that Karl was a member of: Crossing Over Paranormal Society (C.O.P.S. crew) where I got to investigate some amazing locations in Arizona with the talented members of the team. We are both passionate about continuing to grow in this field, meet other like minded people who can teach us, and whom we can teach what we have learned, and have the opportunity to investigate as many locations as possible and gather evidence. So far, we have been blessed to investigate some amazing locations and gather incredible evidence, but we have so much more to explore!
WHO IS
KARL
I have always been interested in the paranormal and wanted to learn more about it, but I didn’t have any personal experiences until I was in the Army. One of my battle buddies (roommate) told me that he had an attachment to a young boy that died in a neighboring town near him while he was growing up. Andy, the boy who passed, committed suicide due to having no friends and constantly being bullied. He said he visited the boy's grave and spoke to Andy, and that if he had gone to school at his school, he would have had one friend. After that, the boy stayed with him. At the time, I thought the story was a little strange, however, some time went by, and I forgot the story of the boy spirit. I was a cook that kept odd hours, and after basically pulling a double shift in the dining facility, in the middle of the afternoon I was released from duty, took a shower, and crashed. I woke to hearing the front door knob jiggling. Thinking it was a Sargent pulling me back to duty I investigated by peering out the crack of the blinds covering the window. No one was there, then the bathroom door handle started to jiggle, I was alone, and there was no possible reason why this doorknob jiggled, as I investigated that, the front door again jiggled. I went to my bunk and spoke to the spirit, stating I lived in a different state while he was alive, yet if he lived where I lived and he went to school with me he’d have a friend in me as well, since we are friends, can you please not mess with me while I am asleep. Any other time I am ok with it. After that acknowledgement, the activity stopped.

I did some amateur investigations on my own and then set out to find a team. I found a group hunt given by Crossing Over Paranormal Society (C.O.P.S. crew). I attended several of them and then asked the founder about joining the team. He said they didn’t have an opening at that time but kept attending the group hunts. At this point I started going out on my own more and got practice in between the monthly group hunts. I provided my evidence to the team’s founder which impressed him. About eight months later I was asked to try out for the team, which I jumped at the chance to do. I made the team and started my journey to investigate some amazing locations throughout Arizona.

Over a year later I met my amazing wife Jamie and took some convincing but had her try out for the team as well. In between that time, we had several “dates” to the cemetery and other haunted locations. Our home had a lot of activity as well. On our first investigation together in California, something new happened: I felt a heaviness fade and get stronger as we went through my wife’s favorite cemetery in Hollywood. This feeling felt like a compass guiding me somewhere, when it felt its strongest I stopped and she told me to look at the internment and it was her Great Grand Mother’s cremated resting place. Since then, I am able to use this “compass” on investigations to help me locate hot spots where spirits are. I plan to further enhance my natural abilities as I continue investigating amazing locations!
